This is the sequel to The Wild Road. Two of the three golden kittens are missing. Tag, a Burmese/Chinchilla cat, must find them, since one of them is the Golden Cat, who is prophesized to heal the world.... The Wild Road
Tag, a house cat, is called upon to be an apprentice to the Majicou, who commands the Wild Roads. He has to battle the Alchemist. The Alchemist wants to breed a golden cat who can help him dominate the world, somehow. Along the way, Tag finds the King and Queen of Cats and escorts them to Tintagel, with the Alchemist pursuing them....
